Julie holds a BA degree in communication/public relations from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. She has actively participated in marketing efforts for the professional audio industry for the last 20 years.

Currently she is combining her multiple marketing experiences to develop successful public relations and marketing programs for clients that take full advantage of print, online and interactive marketing opportunities in a way that is results oriented and cost effective.

Prior to starting her PR/Marketing company, she was a partner in Huge Universe, owner of ProSoundWeb.com, Live Sound International and Church Sound magazines. As advertising sales director she was responsible for creating and implementing a very successful advertising program for members of the pro audio industry, setting industry standards for online media marketing and combined online/print efforts. As a result she is extremely familiar with the inner workings of publishing and understand what works effectively for manufacturers and publishers alike.

Julie originally started out in the industry as a partner in Priority Communications, where she assisted in developing services to it’s pro audio clients on all levels including providing layout/design support for newsletters, advertising and company collateral materials as well as “standard” PR services. In the late 1990s she joined what was then Intertec Publishing (evolving eventually into New Bay Media) in an advertising sales capacity. While there she assisted with the marketing/sales of a number of magazines including Electronic Musician, Onstage, Remix, Video Systems and Millimeter as the Midwest advertising sales director.
